I just want your extra time...and your kiss!

These pictures were taken at the Easter egg hunt today, but I thought they were priceless and warranted their own post! You be the judge! We encouraged Ella Grace & Cousar to kiss bye never dreaming that they would. You can tell by the looks on their faces that they were thinking about it but didn't really want to. Keep in mind that Ella Grace will usually not even kiss her Mommy when asked!

Next think we know, Cousar is planting a big one on her!

OPC Easter Egg Hunt

Today the Oxford Park Commission held an Easter egg hunt at the new FNC soccer fields. They "hid" (essentially threw on the ground) over 6000 eggs. Each field was for a different age group so that the little ones didn't get run over by the big kids! Barrett was too little to hunt so he watched from the stroller. Overall we had a great time, but we've decided to have a hunt with just our friends next year!

His class at school hunted Easter eggs on Thursday. So he was well practiced and knew exactly what to do...

"I don't think there are anymore, Mommy..."

We ran into a lot of Cousar's friends at the hunt. He spotted Kate immediately. I think he's telling her about the Easter bunny in this picture!

A traveling petting zoo was also at the hunt. We literally had to drag Cousar back to the car! This picture is of him talking to a baby goat. His exact words were "Hey, baby goat. What are you doing?" It was the cutest thing ever!

I got it...

Justin, Peyton, Jeremy, and Ashley went fishing this morning. They came back just after lunch with 83 fish - mostly bass and a few crappie. Luckily the boys were up to see all of the action. I may be losing them to their daddy sooner than I thought!!!

Justin just opened the cooler to show the boys! I love their faces! You won't see Barrett in any more of the pictures because he was ready to get in the cooler with the fish! He has NO fear!!!

Good Friday

Today was Good Friday. The University and the daycare were closed. So while Daddy went fishing this morning (more on that later), the boys and I spent a lot of time playing outside.

Both boys had Easter egg hunts at school today. When we got home Cousar went straight to the sandbox, and Barrett went straight to the Easter candy... "I can't believe I have two suckers in my hand, and Cousar hasn't taken one from me yet!"

I am really looking forward to Easter this Sunday...I love the Easter music at church, and a little birdie told me that the boys are getting super cute Easter baskets from the Easter bunny!

I think I really need one of these Easter egg trees!!!

And I'm in love with these cupcakes...maybe I'll get some energy tonight and go for it...Read about them here.

Notice the green shovel, rake, and hoe in the bath tub? I was unpacking these in preparation for Barrett's green birthday party, and Cousar caught me. Immediately he asked to go to the sand box. Keep in mind this was around 7 in the morning; it was cold outside; and we were trying to get out the door for work. So I was able to convince him to get in the "big bathtub" to play with them. And, of course, he wanted Bear to join him! I don't know why I never thought of this as a fun activity before! Or why I never used it as a play pen!
