Thank goodness for Spray and Wash...

This morning the boys went to Ellie's 2nd birthday party...
May 30, 2009
The party theme was Elmo...
And you can't have a great Elmo party without cupcakes and red icing...
B man had it all over him! Thank goodness for Spray and Wash...
Cousar and the birthday girl, Ellie...
Max, Lily Kate, and Cousar helping Ellie open her gifts. I think she got at least 20 Elmos...
There was a huge bouncy outside...
but the three stooges decided the multiple couches inside were a lot more fun...

He'd rather have those...

Last night I took Cousar to the Ole Miss vs. Manmouth NCAA Baseball Regional...
We had great seats! We could almost touch the field! First base line. Row 4... Seat 12... He was very excited from the beginning...
And he clapped every time the Ole Miss fans did...
His first request was for ice cream...He settled for a snow cone...
Then he spotted the gentleman behind us eating M & Ms, and he decided he'd rather have those...
After two innings, the Rebels were up 2 - 0...
Watching the 3rd inning...
Then deciding he'd rather play with the fan Grandma had just given him...
After 3, Ole Miss 4 and Manmouth 0...
During the 4th inning Aunt Kim came over to see us! Cousar could barely contain his excitement...
And after 4 innings, the Rebels were still winning 4 - 0...
During the 5th, I caved and bought him some M & Ms! He was being such a sport...
After 5, no score change - Ole Miss 4 and Manmouth 0...
Clapping to the music between innings...
Score remained the same after 6...
Then he started getting tired. I asked if he wanted to go home, but his mood quickly changed...
He decided he would much rather play on the steps for a while longer...
After 8 innings, Ole Miss was up 8 - 0...
Then while the Rebels changed pitchers (Drew Pomeranz pitched for 8 innings!)...
Cousar played on the steps some more...
And did his best to stay awake...
and see the Rebels win 8 to 1 after 8 1/2 innings...

Olivia

Our good friends Jason and Misti welcomed Olivia into their lives on Monday, May 18 (4 weeks early)! Because Barrett was sick we weren't able to go to the hospital, and then the hustle and bustle of life with 2 boys age 2 and under kept us from visiting her until tonight! She is BEAUTIFUL and so peaceful! Her cry was just barely a whimper! I was able to hold her for a long time while Jason, Justin and the boys played outside...

This is what Cousar did during the entire visit...climb the ladder, look over the top and wave at everyone, and then down the slide...over and over and over again. He did stop occasionally to dote on the baby. I asked him if we needed one of her at home and he replied "No, my baby is right there" and pointed to Barrett...
We met Jason during our first year of marriage and he has been our great friend ever since! He has worked on many house projects with Justin and he even accompanied us to the hospital when we had Cousar (at midnight) and he was there when Cousar entered our lives at 8:06 the next night! We have given him plenty of practice taking care of our boys ever since... So it was no surprise to see that Jason is a natural with Olivia...While we were there he gave her a bottle and changed two diapers (and he even used diaper rash cream)!
