Halloween Shirts...

Sweets made the boys these precious Halloween shirts this year...
Barrett was not in the mood for modeling this morning... Cousar, however, hammed it up for the camera...

Tin Man...

This year Cousar decided that he wanted to be the Tin Man for Halloween and he wanted Barrett to be the Lion. He received half of his wish...Barrett dressed as the Scarecrow instead. Cousar has already decided that he wants to be Shrek next year and Barrett can be Donkey...We'll see...

He couldn't be happier about dressing as the Tin Man...
Barrett, on the other hand, was not as excited about being the Scarecrow. I decided not to buy the Lion costume because I had a sneaky feeling he wouldn't wear it... I picked them up from school early the day before Halloween so that we could sneak in some extra Trick or Treating...
Our first stop...
The coaches, staff, and student workers couldn't have been nicer!!! Both boys received PLENTY of candy at just this one stop...
Our second stop was at BancorpSouth that just happened to be decorated in the Wizard of Oz theme...And most of the workers were dressed as characters from the movie...
Lulu, dressed as Dorothy, met us there...
She did not like the Wicked Witch at all...
Here, Mommy, I want another one...
The employee dressed as Dorothy let little Dorothy borrow her ToTo...Cousar isn't so sure about him...
Feeding ToTo a treat...
Everyone smile! I think Barrett is still bitter about his costume...
Barrett still not happy...
This thing is choking me...
Trick or Treat...
Little man on the move as always...

Pumpkin Patch Trip...

Today Cousar went on his first ever field trip and first ever bus ride. I never thought I would be but I was very nervous about him riding the bus...I'm very picky about who I let drive my boys...Luckily we didn't have far to go...We went to the pumpkin patch at a local garden center...

His favorite part of the entire trip was riding on the school bus...Now every time we see a bus he says "We rode on that bus a long time ago!" And, yes, that emergency exit latch right next to his hand also made me very nervous...He didn't seem to notice it though... Lily Kate still not sure what to think about the bus...
Ashley & Max very excited... I don't think Ella Grace was even awake yet...
When we arrived it was raining...Thankfully most of the trip was inside one of the greenhouses. Cousar was overwhelmed and not sure where to start...
First up...Story time...
Sam, Max, Cousar, and Susannah
This response was to the story teller asking what sound a monster makes...
The sweet story teller...
Cousar getting a closer look....
Lily Kate & Cousar listening closely...
Second activity...decorating the pumpkin...
A good artist always takes his time...
A good artist's mommy always gives in and does it for him...
Next event...playing in the spider webs...
Then we moved onto playing in the big boxes the pumpkins were in...I don't think this was a scheduled activity...
And finally, Ella Grace read to everyone...

Puggles

Puggles is the Wednesday night program for Cousar's age group at church. When we were little Wednesday nights were for GAs and RAs. These classes have been replaced with the Awanas program. Awanas focuses on scripture memory starting from a very young age. The Puggles are the youngest and start at age 2. Cousar loves to go...even after being at school all day, he wants to go right back after dinner on Wednesdays for more...I think he really likes wearing the shirt and being a part of something...

Grace, Cousar, Ella Grace, and Max
Max and Cousar Sports time...I think he may be racing Pharis...

Pumpkin Patch

Ms. Kristen and Ms. Hannah took Cousar's class to the Pumpkin Patch at the Episcopal Church last week. Ms. Kristin was kid enough to share the pictures she took of Cousar while they were there!

Alabama Game...

All four of us went to the Alabama game together...a very rare occurence for a couple of reasons - 1. Barrett loves football, but he wants to play instead of watch and 2. Justin would rather watch it from the couch...

The game was pretty early so we had breakfast on the way...
On the way to the tent...
Of course we had to watch the drums...
Barrett & Justin
The best view of the field - up on Daddy's shoulders...
I think he was "doot, dooting" along with the band...
Barrett kept pulling my hair so I moved him...
We were very close to the field...
The South Endzone...
Barrett eventually moved on to people watching...
And Cousar kept looking for "Coach Nutt and Jevan"...
