Coach's Show...

The Thursday night before the Alabama game I promised the boys a trip to Square Books, jr. Of course we made it there at 6:56 and they were closing at 7:00. As we headed back to the car I noticed a lot of people piling into the Lyric and remembered that the coaches call in show was held there on Thursday nights. Justin was working late and the daycare was closed the next day so we headed in...(after first making sure that it would be a kid-friendly environment)...

During one of the commercial breaks Coach Nutt tossed footballs into the crowd. Neither boy caught one but one person was kind enough to give their's up for them...Like boys do they fought over it the rest of the night... Watching the cheerleaders during a commercial break...

Pumpkin Painting...

The boys painted their own pumpkins tonight. We started this tradition last year...however last year Barrett was only able to watch on while Cousar painted...

Sweets and I took Linley Kate and the boys to the Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch after the Alice in Wonderland Show at the Ford Center. Sweets made all of their shirts, and all three were ADORABLE!!!

Barrett has started laying down with Cousar some at night to fall asleep. As you can tell in the picture these new arrangements are much more exciting for Barrett than Cousar. Cousar usually tells us that he wants Barrett to go to his room...Maybe by the time they get married they will sleep thru the night in their OWN beds...

Yes, that precious baby has a big shiner! Barrett got his first black eye today. He's the first of both boys to ever have one. He tripped on a toy at daycare and fell into the corner of a table...if you think his eye looks bad, you should see the table!!

Daddy's Hunting Buddy

Cousar went on his first ever hunting trip with Justin today. They went dove hunting along with Omar and Jason. It was quite a productive hunt...they shot 1 1/2 birds...I'll spare you the details (and photos) of the 1/2!

Unofficial end of summer...

Like most couples, though, they do have the occasional disagreement...this one was a common one for most couples - They both wanted to play with the same sword!! I am pretty sure Ella Grace won...

I am happy to report that they did make up later in the evening. The conversation went like this:

Ella Grace (after planting a good-bye kiss on him): You want to kiss some more, Cousar?

Cousar: That's enough, Ella Grace...

Today was the opening day of dove hunting in Mississippi. Justin woke up very early (4:30) and headed out. At about 5:30 I heard a little voice at the foot of the bed say, "Mama, what's that popping noise?" Turns out the "popping noise" was hunters across the street from our house in a field shooting lots and lots of dove! It sounded like a war zone! Of course, we all three had to go outside and investigate. Once I explained dove hunting to Cousar he decided that he had to join in the action. He returned inside and grabbed his gun. (Though it may appear to be real, it is plastic and just makes shooting noises.) He returned with it and proceeded to shoot his limit for the day! Looks like he may be just like his Daddy!
