Flashback to Tuesday, January 8, 1970...

I was sorting thru some old photos tonight and I ran across this newspaper clipping of Daddy. It appeared in the Oxford Eagle on Thursday, January 8, 1970. The photo caption was "Postman Tubbs Defies the Snow" and the description read "Postman R. C. Tubbs did not a little thing like iced-over sidewalks and falling snow stop him from making his routine mail deliveries in Oxford Tuesday morning. It appeared that R. C. was dressed for the occasion; however, this did not keep his face and hands from getting cold in the sub-freezing weather, which dipped to 11-degree mark Tuesday night in Oxford." I wonder if he still has that hat...The boys would love it!
