Fourth of July was very busy for us this year...
First we went to Lauren's 1st birthday party and had a ball (or several)...
Barrett spent the entire day in his normal fashion...on the move...first it was the mower...

Then it was on to the train...

Then he heard the word "cake" and took the closest seat he could find...

Cousar rode the Dora tricycle...

and decorated cupcakes...He was kind enough to decorate one for Barrett as well!

Saturday night we headed to the Grove for the 4th of July festivities there...

Barrett immediately wanted out of the stroller...

And Cousar wanted to play baseball...Watch him in action...I am quite sure this was a home run! Look at that follow thru!!!

After the baseball attraction shut down, we headed for a good seat to listen to the band...

They soon tired of just watching and convinced the older girls sitting next to let them play with the girls' soccer ball...The girls were so sweet and let them join in...

But it wasn't long before Barrett went on the move again...

And finally it was time for the big show...

Now I have seen lots of reactions by children to fireworks, but covering the mouth and closing the eyes was a new one for me...

He later said that the fireworks were bright...never even mentioned the loud noises they made...

And as soon as the fireworks started Barrett tuckered out from all of the moving he'd done during the day...and he slept thru the entire show!
